CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. Let a chair cost ₹cc and a table ₹tt: 5c+2t=63005c + 2t = 6300 and 3c+4t=84003c + 4t = 8400.

  2. Double the first: 10c+4t=1260010c + 4t = 12600. Subtract the second: 7c=42007c = 4200.

  3. So c=600c = 600, i.e. ₹600 (and a table costs ₹1,650).

Worth noting

₹1,650 is a table, ₹2,250 is a chair and a table together, and ₹4,200 is 7c7c before dividing by 7.
