Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Increasing every bill by 5% multiplies each by 1.05 and keeps their order the same.

  2. So the median is also multiplied by 1.05: 840×1.05840 \times 1.05 = ₹882.

Worth noting

₹845 adds ₹5 instead of 5%, and ₹798 decreases by 5%. The median does change when every value is scaled.
