CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. Cut off a parallelogram of sides 11 m and 13 m. What remains is a triangle with sides 13 m, 15 m and 25−11=1425 - 11 = 14 m, with the same height as the trapezium.

  2. That triangle has s=21s = 21, so area = 21×8×6×7=84\sqrt{21 \times 8 \times 6 \times 7} = 84 m².

  3. Height = 2×84÷14=122 \times 84 \div 14 = 12 m.

  4. Trapezium area = 12×(25+11)×12=216\frac{1}{2} \times (25 + 11) \times 12 = 216 m².

Worth noting

234 m² and 270 m² use a slanted side (13 m or 15 m) as the height. 432 m² forgets the half.
