Options for question 20

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Mustard : groundnut = (190−166):(166−150)=24:16=3:2(190 - 166) : (166 - 150) = 24 : 16 = 3 : 2.

  2. 3 parts = 30 litres, so 1 part = 10 litres.

  3. Groundnut oil = 2×10=202 \times 10 = 20 litres.

Worth noting

45 litres comes from reversing the ratio to 2:32 : 3.
