CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Let the old income be 100: spending 80, savings 20.

  2. New income = 125; new spending = 80×1.15=9280 \times 1.15 = 92.

  3. New savings = 125−92=33125 - 92 = 33, a rise of 13.

  4. Percentage rise = 1320×100=65%\frac{13}{20} \times 100 = 65\%.

Worth noting

Savings are a difference, so their percentage change is not 25−15=10%25 - 15 = 10\%. Taking 100 as the income makes every figure easy.
