CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. Cost of what he gives = cost of 800 g.

  2. He collects 90% of the cost of 1,000 g = the cost of 900 g.

  3. Gain = 900−800800×100=12.5%\frac{900 - 800}{800} \times 100 = 12.5\%.

Worth noting

The 10% loss is only on paper. The short weight more than makes up for it. Compare what he collects with what he actually hands over.
