CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. CP = 1500×100125=12001500 \times \frac{100}{125} = 1200, that is ₹1,200.

  2. SP = ₹1,500 − ₹150 = ₹1,350.

  3. Profit % = 1501200×100=12.5%\frac{150}{1200} \times 100 = 12.5\%.

Worth noting

25% of ₹1,500 is ₹375, but CP is not ₹1,500 − ₹375 = ₹1,125. The 25% is on the CP, so divide by 1.25. 1119%11\frac{1}{9}\% divides the profit by the SP.
