CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Jyoti is 3 places to the right of Ananya, so from the left she is 8+3=118 + 3 = 11th.

  2. Jyoti is 11th from the left and 15th from the right.

  3. Total =11+15−1=25= 11 + 15 - 1 = 25.

Worth noting

22 is 8+15−18 + 15 - 1, which treats Ananya's position as Jyoti's. '3rd to the right' means 3 places further, not 3 people in between.
