Options for question 50

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. B×d2B \times d^2 is constant: 45×22=18045 \times 2^2 = 180.

  2. At 3 m: B=180÷32=180÷9=20B = 180 \div 3^2 = 180 \div 9 = 20 units.

Worth noting

30 units forgets the square (45×2÷3)(45 \times 2 \div 3); the other two values treat brightness as rising with distance.
