CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Multiplication and division are done before addition and subtraction.

  2. 3×4=123 \times 4 = 12 and 24÷6=424 \div 6 = 4, so the expression becomes 18−12+418 - 12 + 4.

  3. Addition and subtraction are then worked from left to right: 18−12=618 - 12 = 6, then 6+4=106 + 4 = 10.

Worth noting

Working strictly left to right from the start gives ((18−3)×4+24)÷6=14((18-3) \times 4 + 24) \div 6 = 14. Doing the addition before the subtraction gives 2. Both are on offer.
