CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Right side: 12×3+9=36+9=4512 \times 3 + 9 = 36 + 9 = 45.

  2. 25\frac{2}{5} of 150=60150 = 60, so 34\frac{3}{4} of □=45+60=105\square = 45 + 60 = 105.

  3. □=105÷34=105×43=140\square = 105 \div \frac{3}{4} = 105 \times \frac{4}{3} = 140.

Worth noting

Multiplying 105 by 34\frac{3}{4} instead of dividing gives 78.75. Stopping at 105 finds 34\frac{3}{4} of the number, not the number.
