CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. First take out the profit: cost price of the mixture =66×100110=60= \frac{66 \times 100}{110} = 60 rupees per kg.

  2. Then alligate: cheaper : dearer =(65−60):(60−50)=5:10=1:2= (65 - 60) : (60 - 50) = 5 : 10 = 1 : 2.

Worth noting

2 : 1 puts the differences the wrong way round; ₹60 is nearer ₹65, so there is more of the dearer rice.
