CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Milk is 710×50=35\frac{7}{10} \times 50 = 35 litres and water 15 litres. The milk stays 35.

  2. For 7 : 5, water must be 57×35=25\frac{5}{7} \times 35 = 25 litres, so add 25−15=1025 - 15 = 10 litres.

Worth noting

20 litres turns 3 parts into 5 as if each part were 10 litres, but one part is 357=5\frac{35}{7} = 5 litres.
