Question 76

MediumOriginal question

CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. [x][x] is always an integer nn, and sin⁡(nπ)=0\sin(n\pi) = 0 for every integer nn.

  2. So f(x)=0f(x) = 0 for every xx, a constant function, continuous everywhere: 0 points.

Worth noting

5 counts each integer where [x][x] jumps, but sin⁡\sin gives the same value 0 at every one of them, so ff never jumps.
