CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. With x→π2−xx \to \frac{\pi}{2} - x, I=∫0π2log⁡(cot⁡x) dxI = \int_0^{\frac{\pi}{2}} \log(\cot x)\,dx.

  2. Adding: 2I=∫0π2log⁡(tan⁡xcot⁡x) dx=∫0π2log⁡1 dx=02I = \int_0^{\frac{\pi}{2}} \log(\tan x\cot x)\,dx = \int_0^{\frac{\pi}{2}} \log 1\,dx = 0, so I=0I = 0.

Worth noting

π4\frac{\pi}{4} is the answer for ∫0π/2sin⁡xsin⁡x+cos⁡x dx\int_0^{\pi/2} \frac{\sin x}{\sin x + \cos x}\,dx, a different use of the same property.
