CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. sin⁡3x=3sin⁡x−4sin⁡3x\sin 3x = 3\sin x - 4\sin^3 x, so sin⁡3x=3sin⁡x−sin⁡3x4\sin^3 x = \frac{3\sin x - \sin 3x}{4}.

  2. ∫=14(−3cos⁡x+cos⁡3x3)=−3cos⁡x4+cos⁡3x12+C\int = \frac{1}{4}\left(-3\cos x + \frac{\cos 3x}{3}\right) = -\frac{3\cos x}{4} + \frac{\cos 3x}{12} + C.

Worth noting

sin⁡4x4\frac{\sin^4 x}{4} treats sin⁡x\sin x like xx in the power rule; its derivative has an extra cos⁡x\cos x.
