CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Product to sum: sin⁡3xcos⁡x=12(sin⁡4x+sin⁡2x)\sin 3x\cos x = \frac{1}{2}(\sin 4x + \sin 2x).

  2. 12(−cos⁡4x4−cos⁡2x2)=−cos⁡4x8−cos⁡2x4\frac{1}{2}\left(-\frac{\cos 4x}{4} - \frac{\cos 2x}{2}\right) = -\frac{\cos 4x}{8} - \frac{\cos 2x}{4}, plus CC.

Worth noting

The answer without the 12\frac{1}{2} of the product-to-sum formula is twice too large.
