CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Put t=ext = e^{x}, dt=ex dxdt = e^{x}\,dx: ∫dtt2+1\int \frac{dt}{t^{2} + 1}.

  2. =tan⁡−1t=tan⁡−1(ex)+C= \tan^{-1} t = \tan^{-1}(e^{x}) + C.

Worth noting

12log⁡(e2x+1)\frac{1}{2}\log(e^{2x} + 1) would need e2xe^{2x} on top, the derivative of the bottom over 2.
