CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Multiply top and bottom by sec⁡x+tan⁡x\sec x + \tan x: ∫sec⁡2x+sec⁡xtan⁡xsec⁡x+tan⁡x dx\int \frac{\sec^{2} x + \sec x\tan x}{\sec x + \tan x}\,dx.

  2. The top is now the derivative of the bottom, so the integral is log⁡∣sec⁡x+tan⁡x∣+C\log|\sec x + \tan x| + C.

Worth noting

sec⁡xtan⁡x\sec x\tan x is the derivative of sec⁡x\sec x, not its integral.
