CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Let Priya be pp; father = p+28p + 28. Then 5p=p+285p = p + 28, so p=7p = 7 and father = 35.

  2. After tt years: 35+t=2(7+t)35 + t = 2(7 + t).

  3. 35+t=14+2t35 + t = 14 + 2t, so t=21t = 21.

  4. Check: in 21 years they are 28 and 56.

Worth noting

7 years is Priya's present age, not the waiting time. Shortcut: the father is twice her age exactly when she reaches the age gap, 28, which is 21 years away.
