CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Treat the profit percentages like prices: 10% and 25% around a mean of 16%.

  2. 10% part : 25% part = (25−16):(16−10)=9:6=3:2(25 - 16) : (16 - 10) = 9 : 6 = 3 : 2.

  3. Quantity at 10%=35×50=3010\% = \frac{3}{5} \times 50 = 30 kg.

Worth noting

20 kg is the quantity sold at 25% — it is what you get if the ratio is reversed.
