CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Price after both discounts = 0.8×0.85=0.680.8 \times 0.85 = 0.68 of MP.

  2. Single equivalent discount = 1−0.68=0.32=32%1 - 0.68 = 0.32 = 32\%.

Worth noting

Successive discounts are not added: 20%+15%=35%20\% + 15\% = 35\% is too much, because the 15% is taken on an already reduced price.
