CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. dydx=−e−xcos⁡x−e−xsin⁡x=−e−x(cos⁡x+sin⁡x)\frac{dy}{dx} = -e^{-x}\cos x - e^{-x}\sin x = -e^{-x}(\cos x + \sin x).

  2. d2ydx2=e−x(cos⁡x+sin⁡x)−e−x(cos⁡x−sin⁡x)=2e−xsin⁡x\frac{d^2y}{dx^2} = e^{-x}(\cos x + \sin x) - e^{-x}(\cos x - \sin x) = 2e^{-x}\sin x.

Worth noting

−2e−xsin⁡x-2e^{-x}\sin x slips a sign: the −- of e−xe^{-x} meets the −- already in front of the first derivative.
