Options for question 71

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. cos⁡θ=∣4+0+6∣3×5=23\cos \theta = \frac{\lvert 4 + 0 + 6 \rvert}{3 \times 5} = \frac{2}{3}.

  2. sin⁡θ=1−49=53\sin \theta = \sqrt{1 - \frac{4}{9}} = \frac{\sqrt{5}}{3}.

Worth noting

33=1−23\frac{\sqrt{3}}{3} = \sqrt{1 - \frac{2}{3}} forgets to square the cosine.
