CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. The height to the 14 cm side bisects it into 7 cm and 7 cm.

  2. Height = 252−72=576=24\sqrt{25^2 - 7^2} = \sqrt{576} = 24 cm.

  3. Area = 12×14×24=168\frac{1}{2} \times 14 \times 24 = 168 cm².

Worth noting

175 cm² uses the slant side 25 cm as the height, and 350 cm² also forgets the half. The height must be perpendicular to the base.
