CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Along the length: 40÷2=2040 \div 2 = 20. Along the width: 25÷1.25=2025 \div 1.25 = 20. Up the height: 10÷1=1010 \div 1 = 10.

  2. Cartons = 20×20×10=4,00020 \times 20 \times 10 = 4{,}000. (The same as 10,000 m3÷2.5m^3 \div 2.5 m³, since the cartons fit exactly.)

Worth noting

400 and 40,000 are slips of a zero. Counting how many fit along each edge avoids them.
