CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Cost price of the mixture = 601.25=48\frac{60}{1.25} = 48 rupees per litre.

  2. Water costs ₹0. Water : milk = (56−48):(48−0)=8:48(56 - 48) : (48 - 0) = 8 : 48.

  3. = 1:61 : 6.

Worth noting

1:41 : 4 wrongly says 25% of the mixture's volume is water. 11:4511 : 45 comes from taking cost as 75% of the selling price (₹45) instead of dividing by 1.25. 1:71 : 7 compares the ₹8 gap with ₹56 instead of ₹48.
