CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Each operation leaves 64−1664=34\frac{64 - 16}{64} = \frac{3}{4} of the milk.

  2. After two operations: 64×(34)2=64×916=3664 \times \left(\frac{3}{4}\right)^2 = 64 \times \frac{9}{16} = 36 litres.

Worth noting

32 litres wrongly subtracts 16 litres of milk twice; the second time the 16 litres taken out is only three-quarters milk.
