CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. New terms: 3×1.2=3.63 \times 1.2 = 3.6, 4×1.25=54 \times 1.25 = 5, 5×1.4=75 \times 1.4 = 7.

  2. 3.6:5:73.6 : 5 : 7. Multiply by 5 to clear the decimal: 18:25:3518 : 25 : 35.

Worth noting

Adding the percentages to the ratio terms (3+203 + 20, 4+254 + 25, 5+405 + 40) gives 23:29:4523 : 29 : 45, which has no meaning.
