CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. x=A(x−2)+B(x−1)x = A(x - 2) + B(x - 1): x=1x = 1 gives A=−1A = -1, x=2x = 2 gives B=2B = 2.

  2. ∫(−1x−1+2x−2)dx=2log⁡∣x−2∣−log⁡∣x−1∣+C\int \left(-\frac{1}{x - 1} + \frac{2}{x - 2}\right)dx = 2\log|x - 2| - \log|x - 1| + C.

Worth noting

log⁡∣(x−1)(x−2)∣\log|(x - 1)(x - 2)| would need both constants to be 1.
