CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Put t=3xt = 3x, dt=3 dxdt = 3\,dx: 13∫dtt2+1\frac{1}{3}\int \frac{dt}{\sqrt{t^{2} + 1}}.

  2. =13log⁡∣t+t2+1∣=13log⁡∣3x+9x2+1∣+C= \frac{1}{3}\log\left|t + \sqrt{t^{2} + 1}\right| = \frac{1}{3}\log\left|3x + \sqrt{9x^{2} + 1}\right| + C.

Worth noting

Without the 13\frac{1}{3}, the answer differentiates to three times the integrand.
