CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. At first: milk 30 litres, water 20 litres. After the mistake: water 30 litres.

  2. For 3:23 : 2, milk must be 32×30=45\frac{3}{2} \times 30 = 45 litres.

  3. Milk to add = 45−30=1545 - 30 = 15 litres.

Worth noting

45 litres is the total milk needed, not the amount to add. Adding 10 litres of milk does not undo 10 litres of water, because the ratio is not 1:11 : 1.
