CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Inlets together: 115+110=2+330=16\frac{1}{15} + \frac{1}{10} = \frac{2+3}{30} = \frac{1}{6} per minute.

  2. Outlet = inlets − net = 16−118=3−118=218=19\frac{1}{6} - \frac{1}{18} = \frac{3-1}{18} = \frac{2}{18} = \frac{1}{9}.

  3. The outlet empties it in 9 minutes.

Worth noting

4124\frac{1}{2} minutes comes from adding 16\frac{1}{6} and 118\frac{1}{18}. 6 minutes is just the two inlets together.
