The median seat rose at 15 of 19 universities and fell at 4.
From 2025 to 2026, UR closing scores rose on 4,604 of the 5,985 seats that appear in both years' lists and fell on 1,381. The median seat rose at 15 of 19 universities and fell at 4.
Updated , from each university's published lists.
A seat is compared only with itself: the same programme, college, variant, round, seat type and category in both years. Each median is in that university's own score (DU's runs to 1000, BHU's to about 400), so one university's median cannot be set against another's. Read it as movement, not difficulty: CUET is normalised afresh every year, so a rise can mean a harder paper as much as more competition.

Questions
- Did CUET cutoffs go up in 2026?
- From 2025 to 2026, UR closing scores rose on 4,604 of the 5,985 seats that appear in both years' lists and fell on 1,381. The median seat rose at 15 of 19 universities and fell at 4.
- At which universities did the CUET cutoff rise in 2026?
- By the median UR seat, closing scores rose at Banaras Hindu University, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Allahabad, Central University of Karnataka, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Pondicherry University, Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Central University of Jammu, Central University of South Bihar, Central University of Rajasthan, Jamia Millia Islamia, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Central University of Odisha, and Sikkim University and fell at University of Delhi, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Central University of Tamil Nadu, and Tripura University, between 2025 and 2026.
- Can a 2025 cutoff be compared with a 2026 cutoff?
- Only as a direction. CUET is normalised separately each year and seat numbers change, so the same score is not the same bar two years running. This page compares each seat with itself and reports which way it moved, not what a score is worth.
What this page does not tell you
- Where next year's cut-off will land. One year's movement is not a forecast: the paper, its normalisation and the number of applicants all change.
- Movement for a year in which a university published no score list, or ranks instead of scores. Those years have nothing to compare, so they are left out rather than guessed.
